Objectives

It is a widely known fact that academic publishing is a rigorous process. For many researchers, especially first timers, the publishing process can be a daunting task. Non-adherence to journal guidelines and publishing protocols result in outright rejections. Hence, the crude reality of academic publishing is that there are more manuscript rejections than acceptances.

In order to mitigate such situations, Academic Consultancy is determined to help researchers and scholars in the following five stages:

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4

Step 5

STAGE 1

Textual and Research Content

Our first objective is to ensure the compliance of these textual and research criteria in a research paper. This means we determine whether the paper has the appropriate Textual and Research Content. There must be appropriate abstract, a relevant title, introduction and conclusion. Within the text, there must be the thesis statement, research questions and hypotheses and they must be adequately addressed. A good research paper must also have all these sections arranged in a logical sequence, until the author articulates the results and findings and a conclusion. Last but not the least, unity and coherence are important tenets of a research paper that is achieved through consistency of the idea and transitions between paragraphs.

STAGE 2

Journal selection

Secondly, our objective is to select a journal and minimize the chances of rejection. It is important for authors to know the scope, aim and scope of the journal, its frequency and accessibility features such as open access, online or print, citation index, etc. The journal must also be selected based on its area of specialization. Our aim is to help authors to evaluate these parameters and select the best journal that suits the manuscript.

STAGE 3

Article Submission

Next step after selecting an appropriate journal is to familiarize with the submission protocols of a journal. We facilitate this process by checking the manuscripts against each journal guidelines. Accordingly, we suggest changes and modifications in the manuscripts. We assist authors until all those guidelines are met and then complete the submission process on their behalf.

STAGE 4

Screening and Peer Review

After article submission, the most important stage of the lifecycle of a manuscript begins. At this stage, the editor decides whether the manuscript is competent enough to go through the further process. If the manuscript lacks quality content, it lack originality or has serious conceptual and/or methodological flaws, or has too many language and syntax errors, it is rejected or returned with suggestions for major/minor changes or an advice to submit to an alternative journal. This process might take two to four months and in most cases the manuscript is rejected due to the above stated reasons.

Our objective is to ensure removing all those objections and produce a publishable content to save the precious time of the author.

STAGE 5

Final Decision

The final decision to publish the manuscripts depends upon compliance of all requirements. Our objective is to take the manuscript to this final stage by complying with all methodological considerations and author guidelines. This helps the editor to take the final decision to publish the manuscript.
